A Trampoline and a Music Box

If you have asked Reese what she wanted for Christmas then no doubt you heard her say, " A trampoline and a music box." She has been seeing trampolines for awhile now and saying, " I don't have one of those." or " I want a trampoline." So there was no doubt that she would be asking Santa for one this year. As far as the music box goes... apparently she saw one on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I asked her what goes in a music box and she said, "Music." I guess she doesn't really know that we call them jewelry boxes; oh well it doesn't matter. Santa did bring Reese a trampoline and he got an early start putting it together at our neighbor's house so that it wouldn't take all night on Christmas Eve. Well, Christmas Eve day Jonathan , Brian and his cousins head to move the trampoline into our yard. As you know their was a bit of a wind storm that night. Later on Christmas Eve while we were opening presents and having a blast our neighbor called and said that the trampoline was in his yard. So that gave me a sick feeling. I wasn't so worried about the trampoline because they don't cost that much; it made me feel sick because all that Reese has wanted is a trampoline. So Jonathan, Alan, Jason and Anthony headed home to see if it was torn up and if they could get it back into our yard. They all came back to my Pawpaw's soaking wet. The adventure was a success. They were able to get the trampoline back into our yard and put stakes into the ground so it would stay. It was a little bent, but nothing major. It was success; Reese was SO excited on Christmas morning. All of this made me think of this saying I saw on TV: " Christmas is just like any other day at the office, the parents do all of the work and the fat guy in the suit gets all of the credit." :)

Here are some pictures of our Christmas festivities. They aren't in order....

Reese collapsed in the car on our way home on Christmas day!

This was an absolutely wonderful Christmas. Reese really got excited over every little part of it: decorating the tree, singing the songs, opening the presents and most importantly she was excited about it being Jesus' birthday. We talked about it a lot and she kept asking if Jesus had his party yet? That was her way of asking was it Christmas yet. We sang Happy Birthday Jesus on Christmas Eve. It was so fun seeing all of the excitement and JOY on her face this year. I hope that all of you had a Merry Christmas and that you have a blessed new year.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Well, it has been too long since I've posted an update. Life has been BUSY!!! I went back to work on September 21st. Just when I had somewhat gotten the hang of having two kids, I go back to work and my world was rocked again. Trying to balance working, being a mommy, and household duties I was overwhelmed! Things are going much smoother now. It just took awhile to get into a routine. Keeton has done great at daycare. She has had a cough, but she got that before going to daycare. I'm pretty sure she caught it from her big sis! We took Keeton to the doctor about her cough and they think she has reflux. They said that when they spit up so much that they can aspirate and it can cause them to cough. So they put her on Zantac. They also told me I could use Reese's nebulizer and see if it helps. Considering that Reese and Jonathan have asthma, the doctor thought the nebulizer might help Keeton. Her cough is getting better. I'm not sure what is helping it, I'm just glad it's better. I can't believe that she is 3 months old already! Where does the time go?

Keeton was dedicated on September 27th. Here are some of the pics:

Reese was a flower girl this weekend in my cousin Michael's wedding. We weren't sure how she would do. She doesn't like Michael. She loves Carrie (the bride), but she's scared of Michael. She kept asking if Michael would be at the wedding. Anyway... she did a great job walking down the aisle. She didn't drop any leaves (instead of flowers). She did come in and she stayed on the stage the whole time. She and the other flower girl did jump around on the stage like some little monkeys. She made me nervous when she got close to the candles (they were down low). All I could see was something catching on fire! She came back down the aisle too. She looked really scared before she came off of the stage and I didn't think she was going to go down, but she did. She had a blast at the reception. She danced and boogied all night long. She is growing up WAY too fast.
