Reese went to the doctor for her 3-year-old check up. She weighs 36 pounds and is in the 88% and she is 39' tall and is in the 84%. She looks healthy and is doing great! Here is a list of developmental things that 3 year olds should be doing:
- Can name pictures in a book - check
- Knows at least one color - check (she knows all of her colors)
- Knows her name - check
- Uses pronouns - check
- Is able to put on her own shirt - check (she can get totally dressed on her own with the exception of tying her shoes)
- Is able to ride a tricycle - check
- Can jump in place and stand briefly on one foot - check
- Can open doors - check
- Over 50% of speech is intelligible - check ( I would say more like 90% of her speech is intelligible)
- Understands words such as "cold", "tired", "hungry" - check
She recently learned her phone number. She told the doctor her # and she said that was wonderful and she also said that it is a Kindergarten skill. Reese has a wonderful memory so we just use that as a great learning opportunity! She loves to learn and is very smart. We are very proud of her!
I'll post pics of the beach and the 4-D u/s soon!
